Happy 55th Birthday!

To the “Peace Sign”.

In the 20th century the peace sign — as it is most commonly known today, was designed for and adopted by the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament.

In fact, it was on this very day (February 21) in 1958 that the Peace symbol was commissioned in protest against the Atomic Weapons Research Establishment. It was designed and completed by Gerald Holtom and  is now one of the most recognized and widely used symbols in the modern world after being in circulation for 55 years.

Practicing Peace

Doctors and Lawyers don’t have a “business”, they have a “practice” where they “practice” everything they have learned and so should we.

Why “practice” peace? Because, when we “practice” peace everyday we become peaceful with ourselves and with those around us. Practice makes perfect!

In addition, peace is contagious. It can become viral. Don’t you want to pass it on?

Remember The Secret and Manifest Destiny? We cannot be idle and expect things to change without taking action.

We cannot just wish for peace. We have to incorporate what we wish for into our everyday lives and interactions.

Have you hugged someone today? Did you remember to tell someone you love them? Did you smile and acknowledge a stranger today? Can you let bygones be bygones and mend a relationship fence? Have you told another about Bloggers for Peace and shared our website B4Peace.org? Have you displayed the B4Peace Badge Rarasaur created for us yet?

Why not? You have the tools and the influence.

We got this!

Now, help me blow out all of these candles pretty please?

Copy this badge and get it up on your page :)
