Creative Ways to Pass Peace Around

I have been a political activist for over a decade and rarely do I “join” a specific group or effort because in essence they can be divisive; which is the opposite of what most activists are looking to create. In being a part of this new effort called Bloggers for Peace I have decided to lend some of my skills as a media marketing person and my strengths as an activist to help it along in it’s infancy. In doing so, I feel my place is to help everyone involved to understand the promotional aspect of how to make this thing grow legs.  Many of my contributions will be “How-to’s” and other like posts including some interesting promotional opportunities that will cost us mostly nothing.

So, all of that being said; if YOU are looking for a creative way to help spread more peace in your life and help the Bloggers for Peace effort I’m your gal and I have a few things I will share with you here each week.

Yesterday I created a downloadable Bloggers for Peace Flyer. This is an electronic flyer (PDF) that can be emailed or uploaded anywhere, it can also be printed out to hand out, mail out and post on bulletin boards (think laundry mats, colleges, apartment complexes, etc).

Today you will get a glimpse of my evil peaceful marketing mind and see just how creative I can be. There is no poo poo’ing (pun intended as you will see) this promotional option because if these things didn’t really work then businesses like  Water Closet Media would have been out of business long ago. Everyone uses public bathrooms and that is why Water Closet Media has been so successful. Let’s face it, when someone’s sitting on the pot you have a captive audience right? And besides, Peace does start with P!

OK, so now you are laughing, but do you know what to do with this? You can copy this graphic and put 4-6 per printed page, print, cut and carry with you in your purse, pocket, or wallet. Add a little piece of removable adhesive putty and you are ready to roll! No really! Think about it. Every time you are in a public bathroom stall stick one of these little flyers on the inside of the stall door. The next person (and so on) that uses the stall will see it! Also notice the URL? Yep yep, I got together with Kozo this morning and game panned a few things. He will be making some exciting announcements in the next day or so, but for now YES we have our own URL to promote the effort much easier.

Hi Cheri – It seems the hyperlinks at the bottom left of the PDF flyer aren’t active – is that a PDF thing?

SO COOL! Love the background. You work fast, Cheri. I’m still trying to get the URLs to work. I use the “forward” link in the GoDaddy “launch” control panel, right?
Just re-sent email with the links. I’m not sure why the first one did not go through.
I have to pick my son up from school, but I will be back in an hour.
        Thanks again. You ROCK!
