Separation Anxiety

It is said that, “Home is where the heart is” and it must be true because my chest feels empty thinking about how far away my kids are.

And my pooch.

Gawd I miss them so very much.

All three of my kids are adults with their own lives, but our relationship is close and unfortunately circumstances have divided us by locale. This too means I am separated from my beautiful one-year-old grandson who is growing-up quickly…without me.

My heart breaks a little more each day.

Distance in miles is nothing in comparison to the void I feel. I have never felt so far from “home” and I can only pray I may one day soon find my way back.
