A Face In The Crowd

Humor is essential to life.

I mean, come on, who goes through life without ever cracking a smile?

Not me, and surely not YOU!

I try to make sure laughter touches me daily, especially on those days that a smile seems far from ever reaching the corners of my mouth.

In fact, I try to make sure that smile becomes contagious so that others can experience the random silliness that I do.

One of my daughters and I capture these smiles anywhere we see them and text them to each other. It’s a nice touch to our relationship, especially when we are in different states as we are now.

As I have written about before, smiles are everywhere and can accost you at unexpected moments if you are open to seeing them.

I have become so aware that the smiles (and even “sad faces”) are there, that now, everywhere I go I see them!

Do you see the face in the tree above? If not, then you are not looking! It is as plain to see as this one –> :p and just the other day as I was sitting on my Mother’s porch for the first time since she passed away two-years ago, I looked up as I was lost in sad thoughts and that tree was grinning at me.

Who wouldn’t smile back?

Even when it comes to doing things we don’t want to do — like household chores, a smiley is there to egg us on to get the job done.
