Twisted Tuesday’s Mix Tape: Holicraze

I have always liked holiday music, what I don’t like is the commercialism of the holidays themselves.

It seems, the ones who aggressively remind us to “Keep Christ in Christmas” are the very ones who have sold their souls to Black Friday.

I wonder if they found Christ nailed to a weed-whacker at the mall at 4am?

I find hypocrisy high during the Christmas season. A time where people demand to be wished, “Merry Christmas” over “Happy Holidays” and vice versa, I don’t care what another’s beliefs (or religion) is. I really don’t.

I myself believe in God and do call myself a Christian, but that is my choice in a country that was founded on “Freedom of Religion“.

I do “Keep Christ in Christmas”, but my religion taught me tolerance and acceptance, not derision and elitism. It also taught me not to judge.

So, to lighten the mood and bring some totally UNpolitically correct music to our holiday music shelf here is my December 2013, Happy Holi-craze, Mix Tape.

When I first heard this song I was a DJ on the radio and the song was already several years old. I laughed so hard. I had not head of Bob Rivers before.
