Pills and Porn
If you are like me — and every other person with an e-mail account, you too get bombarded with spam.
Did you ever notice that most of the spam we receive is for either PILLS or PORN?
Seriously.
Yeh, maybe we get a few cell-phone company ads here and there and those for insurance or some other mundane thing like that, but by and by the quantities of PILL and PORN related spam far outnumber the rest.
This got me to thinking about the society we live in and how our acceptance threshold has risen to such that we think nothing of seeing it in our inbox.
We are more bothered by getting “spam” than by what the spam is.

I know that I am more pissed by SPAM that what that SPAM contains. Of course, I’m a red blooded American boy so a little porn in my SPAM is OK and if they would upgrade the quality of it, it might become acceptable 😉 On the other side though, I don’t need anymore pills. I’m already on enough.

In my experience, porn, in whatever “grade”, and its prevalence – in every aspect of our consumer- driven lives- is taking many people down. Some people wouldn’t be so “casual” about “a little porn”, if their father’s porn addiction broke up their parents’ marriage, made them lose their dream house, and even forced them to give up their beloved four-legged friend because the apartment they moved into didn’t allow dogs. That’s what “a little porn” did to my life.

i accidentally make the mistake of signing petitions every now and then so most of my spam these days is of most truly offensive variety, political propaganda. ahhh for the good old days of pills and porn
