Challenging the Rhetoric; Are YOU Up to the Challenge?

Women make the world go round … or so it’s said. It is also said a woman’s work is never done.

We take that challenge!

The language used in corporate media today is little more than propaganda, bought and paid for by each successive government or political party … any party. Challenging the Rhetoric is not about the left or the right, it’s about clearly reporting the facts. It’s about cutting through the specious lies, vitriol and rhetoric (duh) doled out by corporate media and government beings in order to get to the truth about the things that affect all of us.

The host of Wise Women Media, Anita Stewart, and I have created a new multi-media platform to take on the rhetoric in today’s corporate media. From a website to social media pages to a LIVE radio show and more. Between us we have an extraordinarily large audience that includes some very prominent and important people.

We Need Your Help

We have built the foundation and now we are looking for the fact-flaunters of truth to join us for our Wednesday, October 1, 2014 launch. Please consider becoming a contributor.

Think The View meets Meet the Press and you will have a good idea of the CTR direction and the multi-media platform we are creating to better serve all of your news needs.

CTR is a news organization that is ran by women; from tech to research and fact-checking to contributor articles. A woman’s voice in today’s times is one that can cut through the propaganda and fear-mongering without a political agenda in order to allow followers/readers/fans a means of real news with real facts.

CTR is more than just another website. We will be evolving to include regular hard-hitting feature articles, columns, relevant videos, a real radio show and more. We encourage you to “LIKE”, “SHARE”, “TWEET”, “PIN” and otherwise share our work with your family and friends. Please join our Facebook group and “LIKE” our page.

CTR contributors come from all over the world. If you would like to contribute please see our contributors guidelines for more information. If you would like to suggest a topic of coverage or submit a news tip please contact us via our contact form. Due to the high volume of correspondence CTR receives we regret that we may not be able to respond to every inquiry.

CTR was envisioned by Anita Stewart of Wise Women Media and elaborated on by Cheri Roberts of Cheri Speak Media. Between Anita and Cheri’s media experience and their walk as activists for the People, CTR is sure to bring a balance to today’s news for those seeking the truth about current events, politics and more.

CTR will be creating a board of women who will govern the entity. We will also be putting together a volunteer staff of incredible writers, reporters and citizen journalists; as well as graphic gurus, videographers and more from around the world to bring you news that matters now.

If this sounds like something you would like to be a part of, please see our SUBMISSION GUIDELINES for more information on contributing. We are looking for people to write, do Q & A’s, create video, take photographs and more. Are you tech savvy? We can use some of that too. Are you a graphics maven? You’re in! We are also in need of radio talk-show hosts and guests. If you think you or someone you know has what it takes, get in touch!

Currently we are only looking for female contributors from around the world. The goal is to create a 100% female effort! If this is something you are excited about, but are unsure how to “report” on current events and/or news that matters, check out Citizen Journalism 101 for a quick and inexpensive primer that will set you in motion.

Anaïs Nin said,

How wrong is it for a woman to expect the man to build the world she wants, rather than to create it herself?”

So what are you waiting for? Let’s create it!

I will leave you with some amazing lyrics.

Life Uncommon

Don’t worry mother, it’ll be alright
And don’t worry sister, say your prayers and sleep right
It’ll be fine lover of mine
It’ll be just fine
Lend your voices only to sounds of freedom
No longer lend you strength to that which you wish to be free from
Fill your lives with love and bravery
And you shall lead a live uncommon
I’ve heard you anguish
I’ve heard you hearts cry out
We are tired, we are weary, but we aren’t worn out
set down you chains, until only faith remains
Set down you chains
And lend your voices only to sounds of freedom
No longer lent your strength to that
which you wish to be free from
Fill you lives with love and bravery
And we shall lead a life uncommon
There are plenty of people who pray for peace
But if praying were enough it would have come to be
Let your words enslave no one and the heavens will hush themselves
To hear out voices ring out clear
with sounds of freedom
sounds of freedom
Come on you unbelievers, move out of the way
there is a new army coming and we are armed with faith
To live, we must give
To live
And lend out voices only to sounds of freedom
No longer lend out strength to that which we with to be free from
Fill your lives with love and bravery
And we shall lead…
Lend out voices only to sounds of freedom
No longer lent out strength to that which we with to be free from
Fill you lives with love and bravery
And we shall lead a life uncommon
