Are you listening?

I Can’t Un-Love You

An argument that no one won,

when all was said, we still weren’t done.

Wounded words that bite and sting,

we’re flailing now with broken wing.

Time can heal or so it’s said,

but left unchecked we’re surly dead.

There are no words to say more true

than confess, I can’t, un-love you.

Amen Cheri! Social media is the new way of adding more hurt to what is already painful. I’ll admit, I’ve “unfriended” people, not because I “unloved” them, but simply to end the hurtful words, which seem to flow more freely over the internet than they would face to face. How sad that in this technological day and age, which is so far advanced than any other in the past, we have forgotten that human beings, with real live feelings are on the receiving end of our comments and messages.

Thank you for this lovely reminder and God bless you for reminding us of this profound truth!

Now it's my turn to listen...
