Cheri Speak

Is this mic on?

Ruins

repaired-broken-heart

I lay in ruins

eyes bowed to you

like a God.

My God,

what did I do?

My hand outstretched

through lifeless air.

Breathless hope

I hold

beneath your stare.

Will you forgive

what I have maimed?

Words, like time,

once gone

can’t be reclaimed.

My heart like yours

bleeds love so true

let’s get back

to us

to me and you?

Beautiful!!! Who could turn away from that? If they did they would be a fool. I must say that I would love to have such a wonderful poem and such a heart felt gift! 🙂

    Awesome!
