5 WordPress Bloggers Who Don’t Know I Stalk Them

im-stalking-you

If I used the excuse, “I’m just too busy” then I’d sound like a real ass, but whether I change the words or try to baffle you with bullshit, the excuse would still be the same,”I’m just too busy”, even if it does sound like a cop-out. It isn’t. I have so many things going on at once that I am lucky to be able to focus outside of that vacuum for brief moments of sanity reading time that is completely unrelated to having to read it. Like work.

Although I am often “just too busy” [or rushed, distracted, fill in the blank] to remember to hit the “Like” button or “Share” on my social media something amazing, funny, meaningful or whatever thing found on your blog, I recognize I need not be too busy today to tell you — and I mean that to all of you whose blogs I follow and find here on WordPress, And even though I, like you, want/need all the “Likes” and “Shares” and “Comments” I/we can get, I have learned that if “I” personally get so caught up in the conversations I no longer have those small windows to read your work.

It’s a screwy dynamic, but it’s true and I’m sorry.

We probably all try to keep up with [because we all signed-up for their newsletters] Bloggers like; Seth Godin and Darren Rowse (Problogger) just because we are bloggers and they happen to be rather extraordinary and I love them both, but I don’t stalk them. I stalk you instead.

Here are just 5 WordPress Bloggers Who Don’t Know I Stalk Them  and why …

1EarthUnited

I’ve followed this blogger for years. I believe we met during the initial stages of “Bloggers for Peace“. I go to 1EarthUnited’s blog to be uplifted, or sometimes, to be grounded. There is always something beautiful or thought provoking there. There is also always something there to remind me/us of things I/we need reminding of. The images are also always beautiful whether they have been re-blogged from elsewhere or are original posts. This is a blog that makes me feel good, or better, just for having stopped by. If you want to feel good too,so go check it out sometime. It’s worth the click.

The Militant Negro (formerly The Obamacrat)

Another long-time follow here. The Militant Negro began as The Obamacrat and although I am not an Obama fan (or other political party follower), I greatly appreciate the immense amount of information he re-blogs daily. From a political and work aspect it is a great resource for a heads-up on some important stories I may otherwise have missed. What I love most is that he mixes it up with such opposites, i.e. cool recipes, images, other interesting blog posts by others and so on. This is a very interesting blog to say the least and I kind of like knowing not knowing what to expect next. Let me know what you find!

The Bumble Flies

This is another of those ‘feel good’ blogs for me, but differnt. I do not go here to be educated although I walk away learning something new; whether it’s about the world, myself, a word or just anything because it is about the “bumbles” in life. We all experience bumbles and we all have borne witness to the bumbles of others. Some bumbles are big, some are small, but all inevitably leave us with a lesson however profound or humorous. If you have never bumbled anything, ever, then I suppose you don’t have to check this blog out, but that would just make you inhuman.

Peg-o-Leg’s Ramblings

I found Peg about half-way through my thus-lived life here on WordPress — which is almost 4-years by the way. Peg addressed every WordPress bloggers burning desire and endless quest to be, “Freshly Pressed” (@Freshly_Pressed). I’ve been a reader ever since. And, if you are reading this and you don’t know what Freshly Pressed is, then before you find out on your own and go down that very narrow road of writing-self-doubt (which you will), you need to read Peg’s post and maybe, you can get Freshly Pegged while you are there.

Rant and Rev

This Blogger is my “baby”. I created him, the Blogger … kind of. He was one of my first, “Boot Camps for Bloggers” students and Rant and Rev is the blog I helped him create in the class. So, like any mother would, I check on my baby every week to see how he’s developing. After taking a slight pause to readjust his approach, he is back at it and I am a proud mommy waiting for you — and any car lovers you know, to check on him too. I’m sure having more visitors will help rev-up this new writer‘s engine.

Believe it or not, I read A LOT of blog posts every day and while I admit, I do choose much of my reading material to compliment whatever project I am working on for myself or a client, chances are, I have and do read your blog too. That is only a short-list above. There are so many more, so if I haven’t made myself noticeable in your space? Know I have been there [and I’ll try to have better manners next time]!

it’s VERY hard forme to post regularly no matter how I intend to. I have this one and of course Challenging the Rhetoric and my company Back to Bartering as well … lots of posting, then add twitter, FB etc etc etc :p

Thanks. I am not so sure it is a matter of dedication as it is a need to write. Maybe that in itself is the dedication 😉
