If you think drugs are the most lucrative criminal activity in this country, think again. Human trafficking ties drug trafficking as a $32 billion per year global industry including child sex trafficking. In America 100,000 to 300,000 underage girls are actively being sold for sex. Minor victims are sold an average of 10-15 times a day, 6 days a week. Typically these children are between 12-14 years old. The stats are pretty horrific and shouldn’t be ignored.
Child sex trafficking goes hand in hand with another crime against children. Approximately 55 percent of internet child pornography comes from the United States and according to cybercrime forensic and child pornography expert, Frederick Lane, child trafficking is a leading source of all sexual abuse imagery which rakes in its own $3 billion a year global monstrosity.
